Cryotherapy

Skin Lesion Removal at Antoinette Nicole Image Cosmedics.

Gentle, effective treatment delivered by experienced nursing professionals.

Many common skin lesions—like skin tags, milia, cherry angiomas, age spots, and benign moles—are no longer routinely treated by the NHS. Yet for many, these concerns are not just cosmetic—they can cause irritation, catch on clothing, or impact confidence.

At Antoinette Nicole Image Cosmedics, we offer a fast, low-risk solution using Freezpen cryotherapy, a modern, highly accurate treatment for safe and effective lesion removal. All procedures are carried out by our NMC registered nurse practitioner, ensuring you receive expert, nurse-led care from start to finish.

What Is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is a non-surgical procedure that removes unwanted skin lesions by precisely freezing them using Freezpen, an FDA and CE-approved device. A fine, controlled jet of nitrous oxide targets the lesion without harming surrounding skin—perfect for treating both cosmetic and medical skin concerns.

Why clients love Freezpen cryotherapy:

No scalpels, no stitches

Minimal discomfort and no downtime

No anaesthetic required

Suitable for all skin tones and types

Safe for both adults and children

What Can We Treat?

Our nurse-led clinic offers cryotherapy for a wide range of benign skin lesions, including:

Skin tags

Milia

Cherry angiomas

Benign moles

Age spots (sun spots)

Seborrhoeic keratoses

Syringomas

Viral warts and verrucae (including for children)

Treatment Process at Our Clinic

1. Initial Consultation

Your skin concern will be assessed by our nurse practitioner to confirm suitability and create a tailored treatment plan.

2. Cryotherapy Treatment

Using the Freezpen, a precise jet of nitrous oxide freezes the lesion at -89°C. Treatment usually lasts just 5–15 seconds depending on the lesion.

3. Healing & Aftercare

The treated area may darken, crust, and naturally fall away over 5–14 days. You may notice temporary redness, swelling or mild itching—all part of the normal healing process.

4. Follow-Up

We offer a free review appointment to ensure proper healing and assess whether further treatment is needed.

Is Cryotherapy Right for You?

Cryotherapy is safe for most adults and children, but it may not be suitable if you have:

Active skin infections

Autoimmune conditions

A history of keloid scarring

Suitability will always be confirmed during your consultation.

Results & Recovery

Most clients heal within 4–6 weeks, though some smaller lesions may resolve sooner. We recommend using SPF 50+ on sun-exposed areas until the skin has fully healed. We’re happy to advise on the best post-care products to support recovery.

Book Your Consultation

If you’re unsure whether cryotherapy is right for you, we offer a complimentary 30-minute phone consultation. Our nurse practitioner will discuss your concerns, treatment options, and answer any questions.

At Antoinette Nicole Image Cosmedics, we are proud to offer a holistic, nurse-led experience that focuses on your safety, comfort, and confidence—with expert care every step of the way.
